ALLU Transforms your Recycling and Sustainability credentials.

With the movement in the industry looking towards recycling and sustainability, what this can often be a complex and time-consuming solution. ALLU is one step ahead once again, giving you the ability to recycle and increase your profit margin.

Sustainability and recycling are key to success going forward, the industry and jobsites are changing.  Construction and demolition waste recycling is an industry issue and required when buildings are demolished and/or during the construction process. While the use of environmentally friendly construction materials has helped to reduce the number of materials simply being disposed of (rather than recycled), demolition and construction activities means that a large amount of material must be dealt with.

Materials which are left over from the process must be sorted in some way, even if the material – inert – is being directly sent to landfill as most landfill sites will not accept some types of material, and often require sorting into categories prior to disposal. Traditionally this has meant that the material is sent to recycling centres resulting in haulage costs, charges to the recycling centres, and then landfill costs themselves for materials that cannot be recycled or reused. ALLU is once again one step ahead to help you remove such an issue and changing a cost into a profit margin.

ALLU products range means that construction and demolition businesses can become more efficient and productive when recycling. By using the ALLU equipment, they can process and reuse material on site thereby minimizing their haulage and recycling costs. Additionally, there is no need to bring both a wheel loader/excavator and a crusher or screener on site. Instead, the ALLU Transformer screening and crushing buckets can crush, pulverize, aerate, blend, mix, separate, feed, and load materials, transforming them into valuable products on site.

The ALLU technology quite literally transforms the material making operations more productive, more environmentally friendly, and more profitable. With versatility at its very core, the Transformer will process just about anything it encounters. This includes materials including construction debris, concrete, topsoil, excavated soil and contaminated soil. In effect, virtually any material that can be crushed, screened, sized, and sorted.

This results in material processing being revolutionized as it will be accomplished with the Transformer converting the base machine (such as an excavator) into a mobile processing plant. Through using the machine in this new way, companies will benefit from reduced investment and operating costs, have a smaller carbon footprint and lower transportation costs, with material being transformed into a valuable product, thereby producing a profit stream, rather than a cost.

Quality recycled aggregates at source

Despite the equipment being available to recycle waste, many construction and demolition companies do not handle the material processing themselves. They either sub-contract the recycling out to someone else, or it is simply hauled away to a recycling plant before most of the material is sent for landfilling. This is a serious cost for a construction and demolition company, and a waste of highly valuable materials.

An area where legislation is now requiring the use of recycled materials across the world is with regards to aggregates.  If waste material can be satisfactorily processed, then it can be turned into an aggregate for reuse and resale. If this can be done ‘on-site’ then the entire operation becomes more efficient as there is no need (or cost) for hauling away material to a recycling centre for processing. The material this usually applies to is concrete and asphalt which can be used as fill materials, graded sub-base for road construction, and armor stone for use in combatting coastal erosion and so forth.

One such solution to dealing with waste at source is the ALLU D-Series or ALLU AC Crusher: these attachments can crush soft and brittle material, separate hard unwanted impurities, while loading a dump truck or stockpiling system. This makes them ideal for processing of waste.

Transforming your business

What ensures that the ALLU products really stand out from the rest is the way its use helps customers transform their entire operation. The profitability of a business is transformed as materials can be processed already at site, rather than transported for further processing. This will also reduce outside waste deposits and bring environmental benefits, as waste is separated before transportation.

Business efficiency is further transformed as the loading and processing of materials is now accomplished in one stage resulting in faster, more efficient processing. Essentially the loader or excavator now becomes a multi-machine that can load and process whilst simultaneously replacing ‘overlapping’ machines at the jobsite. This eliminates material double handling needs and helps with cost reduction.

The same concept applies to the workforce, as improved utilization and fewer pieces of machinery require less people to operate the equipment. The base machine will be effectively transformed into a multi-functional tool that will screen, crush and load, in a one-step operation.

ALLU Transformer – One-Step Material Processing

The ALLU Processor is a hydraulic power-mixer attachment that converts a conventional excavator into a powerful and versatile mixing tool capable of penetrating and effectively mixing a variety of difficult materials — everything from clay, silt, peat, sludge and sediment, to dredged material and contaminated soil, according to the manufacturer.

ALLU Transformer buckets are entirely driven by the hydraulics of the carrier machine and are designed to deliver a one-step screening, blending, sorting, mixing and loading solution capable of handling all materials from wet soils to coal and rock and demolition waste

The buckets can be fitted to skid steers, telehandlers, excavators or wheel loaders instantly converting them into a mobile primary screening and loading plant. A range of blade and drum sizes are available to provide fragment sizes of 10mm-105mm depending on drum and blade set up. Each application is different, so by interchanging drums, the bucket can be configured for optimal undersize and oversize to meet the needs of a particular site.

As the Transformer bucket begins processing, the undersize material falls through the bottom screen and can be tipped directly into a truck or processing plant. The oversize remains in the bucket and can be tipped onto a stockpile. An added bonus is the TS series bucket’s ability to handle wet material without clogging, which is often a serious challenge in clay-bound areas.

Built tough to suit these harsh environments, the frame of each Transformer bucket is made from 100 per cent wear-resistant Hardox steel and the M-Series utilises genuine CAT ground engagement tools, ensuring that replacement teeth can be sourced anywhere in the world. All blades, hammers and bars are hardened steel.

ALLU’s Transformer attachments provide processing and handling solutions for a number of industries and over 120 different types of applications. The ALLU Processing buckets are designed for use in soft rock quarries, handling of sand and gravel aggregates, material loading at ports, de-clumping of hardened materials and sorting and processing of green waste, compost materials and construction waste minimising demolition tip fees.

To further improve efficiency The ALLU M-series come with the data reporting system, Dare, which is placed inside the base machine cabin. Dare reports production data such as bucket count, processing time, total working time and processed tonnes for analysing and optimising working efficiency. It also reports on hydraulics, time elapsed, parts temperature and bucket angle.

ALLU customers and operators can download the ALLU app that notifies about the need for maintenance or replacement of wear parts.
