Processor transforms waste into profitable material

April 21, 2017 – The ALLU D-Series Screener Crusher Bucket attachment works with wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers and backhoes to screen, crush, pulverize, aerate, blend, mix, separate, feed and load materials all in one stage – increasing an operation’s efficiency and profitability. The unit is designed to process wet or dry materials quickly and efficiently, reducing cycle times and resulting in increased production and substantial savings on operating costs. The units easily handle topsoil and dirt, excavated and waste soil, demolition waste, construction waste, milled asphalt, coal, oil shale, limestone, contaminated soil, clay, peat, bark, compost, bio-waste, glass and other materials.

To lower overall usage costs, the ALLU Screener Crusher Buckets feature changeable wear hammers for crushing applications. Universal wear hammers are used for most applications and materials. Long wear hammers are recommended for screening and aerating compost and other soft materials to increase capacity. Axe wear hammers are ideal for crushing bark and mixing compost, while oval wear hammers are designed for screening material with high stone content or when reduced crushing effect is needed. 10-mm-thick screening discs extend the life of the attachment when processing many types of material. The ALLU D-Series Screener Crusher Bucket also saves money by lowering transportation costs, as it can be easily moved around the job site or to different sites as it’s mounted on the base machine.

The ALLU power adjustment valve promotes powerful startup and rotation allowing the attachment to efficiently screen and crush wet or dry material from 0.60-inch to 6-inch (15-mm to 150-mm) fragment sizes. Straight side plate construction makes the ALLU D-Series Screener Crusher Buckets easy to fill and able to hold a greater volume of material, while the standard power adjustment valve prevents overloads. Locating the hydraulics on the back of the attachment keeps them well protected from damage, while patented fender plates protect the bearings and seals. Its patented construction keeps nuts and bolts away from the material flow. With more than 100 models in the line, ALLU D-Series Screener Crusher bucket attachments are available to fit any excavator, wheel loader, skid steer loader or backhoe.

ALLU transform at Conexpo

ALLU Transformer rebranding
Tuesday, April 18, 2017 – 12:15

Company presents new customer-focused technology with Transformer rebranding

ALLU Group used the recent Conexpo show in Las Vegas to present their new, customer-focused technology brand, ALLU Transformer.

For many years ALLU have provided a screener crusher equipment range that has helped businesses across the globe meet their material handling, separation and sorting requirements, but even with this global success, the company says it has been a challenge to clearly communicate the benefits that their technology can deliver to customers.

Thus, at the Conexpo show, ALLU announced the rebranding of their technology, in a bid to enforce the real benefits of the ALLU range, and what it can actually achieve for their customers.

‘Through the rebranding, ALLU are now sending a clear and concise message that our equipment is able to transform our customers’ businesses, improving their profitability and value addition,’ said Ola Ulmala, president of ALLU.

‘We were able to identify that our equipment not only provides solutions that produce higher levels of profitability, but also leads to changes that totally transform the way businesses are able to operate.’

Some applications and benefits include:

  • Mining processes, quarrying and aggregates: Crushing and loading of raw material, such as soft limestone, can be completed in one cycle. The process change reduces the need for buffer storage and extra material transportation, with capital expenditure being lower than for large stationary processing stations. This speeds up the transportation from one site to another and in some cases even eliminates the need for electricity, thus delivering further cost savings and flexibility.
  • Earthmoving and demolition: Through using a Transformer attachment, excavated soil and rubble will not need to be transported away and replaced with fresh soil. Not only does this result in substantial savings in material and transport costs, but also no time is lost when waiting for replacement material. Additionally, binders can be mixed if the material handling includes additive requirements or stabilization.

The ALLU Transformer series consists of excavator/loader/tractor-mounted processing buckets that screen, pulverize, aerate, blend, mix, separate, crush and load materials, effectively transforming the feed material into valuable products.

Catering for applications of all sizes and capable of processing any material that can be screened and sorted, the ALLU Transformer series includes the compact DL and D series as well as the massive M Series.

Finlay Group unveil new Allu TS screening buckets

Latest bucket innovation meets growing demand for multiple aggregate sized solutions

THE Finlay Group have added a new range of screening buckets to their core plant and tool fleet due to the growing demand for multiple product sized solutions. The Allu TS buckets – which feature a state-of-the-art drum assembly – can screen, shred and mix many types of materials, including top soil, green waste and bark.

They can also aerate and load in a single-step operation and have the capacity to process two different fragment sizes in one unit simply by altering the configuration of screen combs inside the bucket.

Chris Bell of the Finlay Group said: ‘After promising results with the TS buckets last year, we’ve decided to make them part of our core fleet. The ability to change the screen sizes with these buckets is a welcome feature.’

The versatile screening bucket is suitable for use on 13- to 45-tonne excavators and 7- to 30-tonne wheel loaders and telehandlers. A central feature of the Allu TS technology is the spinning blades between the screening combs. The space between them determines the size of the end product, ranging from 16–32mm to 25–50mm and 35mm.

As the screening combs carry the majority of the material weight, there is less wear and tear on the drums and bearings. According to the Finlay Group, this design ensures the high-production bucket remains clog-free even with wet and sticky materials. The Allu TS drums are available in two different blade types: standard for screening materials; and axe blades for when a crushing effect is required.

Mr Bell commented: ‘We have a variety of demonstration and hire units to suit a wide range of base machines, including excavators, wheel loaders and telehandlers, as well as stock units for the most popular models. We keep units at both our Cambridge and Stafford depots so we can serve customers nationwide.’

One frame fits Allu

Bauma is giving Finnish crushing and screening company Allu the opportunity to demonstrate that now all the different drums for its various applications and fragments fit one frame.

It said that for the customer this meant versatility and higher use of the unit, saving money and the presenting the opportunity to earn more money.

There are new drums with changeable blades, which the company said were useful for waste material handling, pipeline backfilling/padding. It added that Universal blades matched most applications and materials while the Long blades were aimed at compost and other soft materials.

There are also new stabilisation drums, which Allu said meant no more welding at the jobsite as the new X-blades were fast field replaceable in a very short time.

These drums are for mixing and crushing harder materials such as crushing asphalt or minerals.

The new Allu TSdrum assembly, comes in two different fragment sizes just by repositioning the screening combs. Allu said it was based on the application that the customer might choose, for example the standard blades for screening – gravel, top soil, compost, etc – or the axe blades for crushing or shredding effect , such as field bark, plastic bags shredding, waste materials.

All Allu drums have changeable blades and now are said to have 40% more wearing surface for the blades, in addition to new design.

The new Allu Dare data reporting system is designed to help to improve work processes, and working efficiency. It also provides data from the hydraulic system in real time.
