Allu DH4-17 bucket system delivers economical and productivity benefits in soft rock crushing
CHEPSTOW Plant International say they have seen productivity soar after taking delivery of a Allu DH4-17 bucket to crush and screen stockpiles of clay marl down to –50mm. The Monmouthshire-based contract firm has been so pleased with the results of the Allu system that it has extended the hire contract with suppliers Finlay Hire.
The bucket system, which is fitted to a 25-tonne Volvo EC250 excavator, is processing in excess of 100 cubic metres an hour, despite the material being of highly cohesive nature.
John Carty, project support manager for Chepstow Plant International, said: ‘We discussed our option with Finlay Hire and decided on the Allu bucket. Initially, we hired the plant for a month but extended this to three because it had been so successful. We couldn’t be happier and the service and backup we receive from Finlay Hire is second to none.’
Finlay Hire, part of the Finlay Group, offer one of the UK’s largest hire fleets of crushers, conveyors, mobile screens and washing equipment. As the sole distributor of Allu products in England and Wales, Finlay Hire also supply plant for soft-rock crushing, screening, aerating and compost shredding.
Chris Bell of Finlay Hire said: ‘For soft-rock crushing or difficult separation applications, where blockages and contamination become an issue, Allu buckets are the ideal solution. We can offer this solution to customers on every scale, from mini-excavators to 200-tonne faceshovel excavators. We have buckets for hire or for demonstrations, and can advise customers on the best model to suit their applications and base machine.’
